After 90 days, a GA state judge will declare a car abandoned and issue a new title so the towing company can sell at a public auction (open to EVERYONE) to recoup towing and storage fees. I got a Dodge Neon ES less than one year old with 10k miles for $6,600. Brand new, the car is worth $15,000 or more (ES is fully equipped). I got for half of what you'd pay anywhere else, and I drive it everyday. The auction was at S&W Towing at Lawrenceville Hgwy and Mountain Industrial Blvd., Dekalb County. At the time, S&W Towing held auctions every other Saturday at 10:00am. I am not a auto dealer, just a regular Joe. You have to hunt around for that kind of deal, but they do happen - I have the car to prove it.
