  1. If you are not concerned with the law enforcer in the woods, then why pose the question. Follow the law for hunting. We don't need another headline about some idiot hunting Deer with an assault rifle, and shot at what he thought was a deer( 27 times) but turned out to be the neighbors dog, or another hunter. Its clear by your question, that you don't respect anything and are in fact a detriment to the hunters of the world.
  2. it depends on your lincense if you have one or not!
  3. yeah! reno you rock! My answer is no.
  4. Is it legal to hunt deer with the underpowered .223 in Minnesota? It is illegal in at least 20 states I know of. Try the shotgun stunt and you'd probably lose your hunting privileges, possibly permanently, as well as your guns.
  5. first off some things you need to ask your DNR office. Minimum bullet diameter...some states allow use of a .223 ...some don't... your obligated to find that out ...don't rely on us, we don't work for the State of MN Second... if you did get caught (if that was a problem) you would get charged with obstruction and lying to a peace officer at a minimum. They toss your tail in jail...impound your gun, car and jock strap...get the picture? DNR folks wander all over... trust me they know by sound where to wait and see who wanders out of the woods to the places the trucks are parked. Bad a**ed gun eh?... your a dipwad . gives the rest of us a bad name
  6. Either get serious or stick to the Airsoft guns, kid. You're not a hunter, or a sportsman. Tell you what - buy your bad-a** rifle, go out and shoot a deer, and when that game warden comes by, try to convince him that little 1/4" diameter hole was made by a shotgun. After he confiscates your rifle, hunting gear, and truck, come back to Yahoo Answers in the Legal section and try to find a lawyer to defend you. I can't wait to read that post.
  7. http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/hunting/deer/index.html this link should give you all the information you will need, but I wouldn't recommend using a .223 for deer, if u want a 'bad ass' AR15, look for an AR10 in .308 or at least .243
  8. I got an AR-10 thats .308 and a 20 rnd. box! WWHOOHOO! Got it during the clinton ban.Loudest damn gun I own.Scares the hell outta everyone at the range.(inept flash hider) I would'nt recommend it to anyone,,,,,,But DPMS makes good variations that work way better! You're just thinking the wrong caliber.! Armalite makes a good 6.8 as well as Barrrett in 6.8 Welcome to the BADAZS game hunting_----First shot just brings their head up!!! (I see the word gizzard which is what a deadman poacher pulls out of a black bear to sell)
  9. Why not just buy a .308 black gun with a decent scope that is a little smaller and less power which would be legal to hunt with and would be bad*** and if you aren't worried about obeying the laws why even tell anyone you shot it and don't buy a hunting license, but I'm sure you would never break any laws, just rember a 12 gauge buckshot or slug wound does not look like a .223 wound
  10. yeah jeesh I want to hear about it when the shotgun stunt backfire you can't hunt in over half the states and probably will get your right to own any firearm taken away for poaching among other things and duh a 6.8mm or a .243 or .308 AR-10
  11. I Believe that caliber is legal for deer. But the gun is pushing the envelope. I have seen dnr out and about many times. In minnesota.
  12. I don't know what the hell these Fuds are talking and whining about Yes the gun is legal, that was the question right? Minnesota mandates a .220 caliber or greater with soft point ammo The only consideration would be magazine capacity rules if any for the state, but you can buy five round hunting mags for fairly cheap And no you can not try to pass off a .223 wound as a 12ga wound And I know you didn't ask, but that's too much for that gun wait a few months til the prices come back down to earth
  13. legal in some states dont pull the 12 gauge crap tax stamp for short barreled weapon
